Twice I made a reference to the movie "The Shining" and no one knew what I was talking about. Are we living in a real life "Book of Eli". Come on peoples, The Shining? Have you never heard?.... Here'ssssssssssss Johnnnny!!!!...
So I'm staying in the main hotel at Pinehurst and I make the first reference to someone in their mid thirties. I can understand that maybe, must maybe they haven't seen the original but maybe that cheesy remake. They cocked their head and looked at me like "What the hell are you talking about?" and then said, "What the hell are you talking about?'. I said nevermind, a movie before your time.
So the next morning we're having breakfast as a group with a few of us over forties, ffs, it sucks to say (us over forties)...I make my second remark about The Shining and still.... no one.. wtf?? C'mon people - 1980- The Shining??
